It’s Happy Hour

It’s a Friday night and you’ve finished your work week of strong. You completely crushed all of yours goals for the week and then to top it off you finally say hello to the gal/guy you’ve been eyeing from the 2nd floor of your office building with a rush of confidence. They said yes! Now to figure out what to eat and where to go for the night. The ball is in your court. You’re both in your work clothes and don’t really feel like going to any place too “fancy-shmancy”. After all, this is supposed to be a GOOD and relaxing time after work. That’s when you remember The Platform 35 market hall on Wilshire because it’s the perfect hip & trendy place to kick back and enjoy some tasty bites along with a drink for happy hour.

You know it’s your date’s first time going to Platform 35 so you decide to check out the list of foods you’d like to try. Being prepared has never served you wrong and it’s only a few minutes on the metro purple line to get there, so you’ll have time! Here is what you got…

1- Old Fashioned

It isn’t a date without the drinks! The 8th Notch has a scrumptiously tasty twist, with Sabe, on the classic Old Fashioned served for their happy hour from 4-7pm. You can’t be disappointed with this specialty drink made by one of our talented bartenders!

2- Tacos

This is just one of the 15 flavors of tacos served at Guisados at Platform 35. It is their Mole Poblano consisting of pulled chicken and Mole sauce and comes with sour cream, queso fresco, red onion and dried chile. You will definitely enjoy this LA original.

3- Sandwiches

Over at The 8th Notch you can find popular southern comfort food such as the Beef Brisket or Pulled Pork Sandwich. If you love a tasty hot sandwich with lots of meat and homemade tasting sauces this is a great place to find just that! The amazing news is they even cater so if you do decide to throw a home gathering you can arrange to have these sandwiches prepared and ready to serve!

4- Fish & Chips

Rated almost 5 stars on the well-known critic platform Yelp!, Calibunga Grill is a stop you do not want to miss out on when you’re looking to feast happily. You will find on their menu the Cali Fish & Chips served with crispy beer battered cod, crispy fries and tartar sauce. This one is sure to be a pescatarian’s delight.

5- Beef With Broccoli

“I never thought I would find Chinese food compared the Chinese food on the east coast. Ling Ho is one of the best Chinese food names in LA serving classic dishes. Such as their homemade Tso Chicken and Fried Rice. The top on the list is their Beef with Broccoli though. Somehow, they make veggies taste GOOD!” – Jonathan Malinda from Food is Fashion Magazine
